Dispatch From Portland
Magazine design exercise.
Spring, 2022
Inspired by an intense love for Golden Gate Park, I designed an 18-page accordion book of photographic abstractions following the journey between spaces from hyper-industrialized to simply natural. To exercise my layout design sills, I tasked myself with creating three distinct cover spreads, capturing the same article. The article centers around the indie publication design scene in Portland, OR, and my aim was to capture the subject matter clearly while exploring three uniquely representative styles and alternative design methods.
